Monografica 2002 in Portugal
112 dogs and 27 national and international exhibitors attended the 13th Portuguese Podengo Club's Specialty Show that took place in May 25, 2002, in "Tapada da Ajuda", Lisbon.
Hosted by the Portuguese Podengo Club, Jos Rom o and Pedro Delarue were the judges. A small Podengo smooth-haired dog, "Espinafre da Praia do Ribatejo", was chosen Best in Show.
This annual assembly of breeders and other Podengo lovers, provided a day of good will and friendship between participants and visitors. It demonstrated the breeders' commitment to preserve this rare breed. After the show, the traditional luncheon took place. Many breed topics were discussed and all agreed to continue efforts to preserve this natural breed.
