Hurrah! PPCA now has points towards a PPCA championship for Podengos participating in AKC Matches. Our litte Caia (Sericaia do Vale Negro) won Winners Bitch -- the first female Podengo in the United States to win PPCA points at the first AKC sanctioned Match, held in Guilford, Connecticut on May 25, 2008. Winners Dog went to the handsome Cacau de Viamonte - the first male Podengo to win PPCA points at an AKC Match. And little Eulalia do Porto Novo was the first Podengo to ever place in a Puppy Sweeps hosted by an AKC club -- she placed 4th in a field of 71 entries!
