Beginnings - Porto Novo 2001-2006
This is the banner from our first website - from the right, it shows Manny (Chicharro de Viamonte) in 2001, the founding dog of Porto Novo and first purebred Pequeno wire coat in the United States, along with Dieta de Viamonte/Ginja (not shown here). Next is Fida (Fidalga da Casa de Sao Domingos), a founding female who came to Newport in 2002. Next picture is Ike, Manny and Fida, then Amalia (Manny's daughter), born in 2003. Sericaia do Vale Negro came home with us after another trip to Portugal in in 2004 and is not shown here. Ike (Icaro do Vale Negro), the last photo, came with us from Portugal in 2005 and now lives in Kentucky.
